YMA Announces Two New Instructors

Madeline O’Meara, soprano, is from St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri in December of 2016.  She received her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance and is studying voice with Mr. Braeden Harris.

 

As a member of Opera Workshop at the University, Madeline starred as La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro and Nella in Gianni Schicchi. She was a Studio Artist for Opera NEO in the summers of 2017 and 2018, and this past summer, she starred as Sylviane  in The Merry Widow.

In her free time, Madeline loves listening to true crime podcasts and biking on a nice, sunny day. Madeline is very excited to be part of the Youth Music Academy staff and cannot wait to see what comes next!

Mark Fangmann graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2016. He has studied with a variety of instructors and mentors including Dr. Alan Wenger, Dr. David Aaberg, Dr. Scott Lubaroff, and Reid Atkinson. 

 

Throughout his musical journey, Mark played with every ensemble offered during his undergraduate degree studies. The most notable ensembles include the UCM Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble 1, and Trumpet Ensemble. Mark has performed at a variety of venues and conferences including Carnegie Hall, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and the 2013 International Trumpet Guild Confernece to name a few.

Mark's educational focus lies in meeting each and every student where they are, no matter where their musical studies have taken them. He believes every student has the ability to learn and develop to the next level, under any circumstance; given proper and consistent instruction.
